A Tale of Strawberry Jam & Family Traditions

In a world that moves at an ever-increasing pace, there's something profoundly satisfying about slowing down and embracing the art of canning. Beyond merely preserving fruits and vegetables, canning is a labor of love that encapsulates memories, flavors, and traditions. So I am overjoyed to offer my mason jars of sweetness to our customers, where every jar tells a story and every lid seals in a little piece of history.

With the arrival of strawberry season comes a magical transformation – vibrant hues, sweet aromas, and the promise of summer's bounty. While our farm tends to a small strawberry patch, those precious berries are Gary's pride and joy. So, we rely on the abundant harvest of Stacy's Family Farm.

Like most in our community, our connection to Stacy's Family Farm runs deep, stretching back to the days when our eldest child hunted for sweet treats among the strawberry fields. It quickly became a cherished family tradition, and every year we gathered our own hoard of bright red berries, learning where are food came from and the “work” that went into harvesting our own berries. However, we realized we needed to preserve our little ruby-red gems to enjoy throughout the year. And what better way to enjoy their sweetness than crafting homemade strawberry jam?

Armed with a library card, we dedicated weeks to learning the intricacies of canning, long before the era of YouTube tutorials. With a set of hand-me-down canning supplies, we eagerly experimented in the kitchen. The results were sweeter than we could have imagined. From that moment on, we were hooked – everything had to find its way into a jar!

Even though we can hundreds of jars per year, we are smitten with Strawberry Jam! From spreading a spoonful of jam on their morning toast to drizzling it over ice cream or using it as a gooey topping for thumbprint cookies, my loved ones discovered endless ways to enjoy it. They are a little bias, and I have heard countless times “that doesn’t taste like moms” when referring to other jams. Those little jars became treasured commodities, traded with only their closest friends, shared as tokens of gratitude with those who lent a hand on the farm, and gifted to those special someone’s in our lives.

Given the immense value we place on strawberry jam in our household, we're thrilled to extend the joy to our customers for the second year running. These jars of delight are a small piece of our farmhouse kitchen, lovingly crafted from our family to yours. Don't miss out – grab yours before they're gone!
